The handbook is for teachers who are preparing candidates for Cambridge English: Preliminary, also known as Preliminary English Test (PET). The introduction gives an overview of the exam and its place within Cambridge ESOL. This is followed be a focus on each paper and includes content, advice on preparation and example papers. Cambridge English: Preliminary has been accredited by Ofqual, the statutory regulatory authority for external qualifications in England and its counterparts in Wales and Nothern Ireland.
